The next FFV dinner meeting is March 15, 2012.

 

FFV members Brian and Colby Trow are organizing a meeting that will focus on Smallmouth Bass fishing.

The Trow's and a few other guides will be at the dinner and afternoon sessions to give you all the information you will need to land these great Virginia game fish!

 FFV charter member Steve Lewis was awarded the FFV Kenny Grandstaff award for continuing service (Bill Pearsall, presenter).

Legendary Virginia fishing guide Chuck Kraft was awarded the Nat Bugwyn Lifetime Achievement award.

Dan Genest received the 2011 PHW  Regional Volunteer of the year for the Virginia's Region ( VA and WV).

Temple Fork Outfitters is the sponsor of this award program and provides each winner a TFO BVK rod with the winner's name on the rod.

Having supported PHW for the 6 last years, Dan is much deserving of the award.

David Hall received the 2011 PHW  Regional Participant of the year for the Virginia's Region ( VA and WV).

David was awarded an Orvis Access rod and reel.

The James River Association was given the Taylor Turner conservation award.

Bill Street, Executive Director, accepted the award on behalf of the Association.

National Saltwater Angler Registry

If you intend to fish for Shad or do any saltwater fishing this year please go to this website: 

https://www.countmyfish.noaa.gov

...and register. It is free and only takes a couple of minutes. If you get caught fishing without being registered you could be facing a hefty fine.

 

 

 

 

The 2011 Brotherhood of the Jungle Cock Campfire took place May 7th, 2011.

This event is a great place to get kids hooked on fishing!
