Volunteers needed!!

Project Healing Waters is growing!

The FFV will now be volunteering at the Fort Lee

'Warrior Transition Unit!'

The FFV is set to have a  " Kick Off" meeting at the Warrior Transition Unit (WTU),

Ft Lee VA July 22 ,2008 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

We will demonstrating Fly Tying and Fly Casting  as well as answering any questions the Warriors may have about PHW.

The WTU has 60 plus members . The Warriors stay in the unit from 3 to 6 months.
This will allow us to really work with Warriors who want to develop their skills in this sport .

The regular sessions will start in August the second and fourth Tuesdays of each . All session will be held in building 11103 on A Avenue. This is the Hdq of the WTU at Ft Lee. The session will be held during the weekday hours ( 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM )

We have all the fly tying tool and material as well as the rods and reel that will be needed to run the training

As the Warriors become skilled in casting we are planning on offering one day fly fishing trips on local warm  water and trout water.

Contact Phil Johnson for information on how you can help this very worthy cause!

We have added a new feature to our club's web site. In the 20 or so years since the FFV was founded we have had numerous club sponsored events, seminars, fly tying classes, fishing trips, etc...If you have any photos from any of these events and would like to share them with the club, please contact Doug Walden. We can scan them in and return them to you unharmed.
